Shrinidhi Iyengar is a self trained artist. Born in India, he became a U.S. citizen and has made Southern California his home for the past thirty years. He has a passion for color and uses it to express feelings in his artwork. He is very skillful in his selection of subjects and has a wide variety of paintings to his credit. He was selected to participate in the International show in La Jolla, CA and his paintings are in many private collections across the U.S.
He has a doctorate in clinical psychology and maintains a practice in Tustin, CA. He is on the faculty at CSUF and teaches graduate students in the counseling department. In his role as an academician, he has provided leadership and strength to the graduate program for counselors at USC. He is a proud father of two very talented and independent children. He has been very active in many charitable organizations and considers the education of children a priority.
In addition to visiting most of the major galleries around the world he has studied the Masters and follows the trends of contemporary artists in Southern California. He uses his photographs from his travels as inspiration for painting. He derives a personal satisfaction in conveying the emotion of his chosen subject as he reaches deep into the essence of its creation.
